Rika Saruhashi

Gendai Reiki Practitioner and Master

Rika is a Japanese citizen living in Madrid, Spain, for over 30 years. Since her childhood, she has lived in foreign countries such as India and the United States, where she learned English at a very young age. She started to study Reiki in Spain in 1996, but in 1999 she traveled to Japan to learn the Reiki practiced in its country of origin and got certificated as a Gendai Reiki master. In the year 2000, she started teaching and completely dedicating herself to Gendai Reiki Ho.

However, because she believes in the unity of Reiki, she has always been in contact with practitioners of different types of Reiki.

Her mission in life is to serve as a bridge between the western world and Japan. She is happily dedicated to fulfilling this role in her life. She is one of the organizers of the Centenary of Usui Reiki Ryoho, which will be celebrated in Osaka, Japan, next April by people gathering from more than 35 countries.

Rika has worked as a Reiki teacher, interpreter, and translator for Reiki events and seminars since 1999. She interpretes and translates for Hiroshi Doi, a renowned Japanese Reiki master, and is currently working on translating three of his books into English and Spanish. (Two of which are already published in Spanish.)
