Sandy Walden
Reiki Master/Teacher and One of the Founding Members of the Milwaukee Reiki Association, Certified Hypnotist, and a Master Grief Coach and Trainer
Sandy Walden is a Reiki Master/Teacher and one of the founding members of the Milwaukee Reiki Association. She is also a Certified Hypnotist and a Master Grief Coach And Trainer. Sandy is the author of The Acorn Journal – Messages of Connection from the other side. She also writes about Reiki and Grief on her Blog, which can be found on her website.
Sandy’s professional and personal focus shifted quite dramatically early in the morning of December 18, 2010, when she opened her front door to hear a sheriff’s deputy say those words that seemed to make the world stand still ‘I regret to inform you that your son Michael has taken his own life.’ Sandy shared her journey and has helped others as a Moderator and Steward Program Manager for Alliance of Hope for Survivors of Suicide Loss.
Currently she facilitates Grief Support Groups in Southeast Wisconsin and actively works as a Grief Coach and Trainer. Sandy sees grief as the place that we are dropped into when we experience the pain of great loss. Having the tools to effectively process the thoughts and feelings allows one to begin walking that path, ‘Through grief, into healing’. Reiki has been a tremendous asset in this grief work.
Spending time with her family brings Sandy great joy and she is grateful for her husband, children and grandchildren, as loud and messy and fabulous as they are.
