Kate Jones

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master, CNHC registered Reiki practitioner, member of the Reiki Alliance and The Reiki Association UK

Kate Jones is practicing and teaching Usui Shiki Ryoho in the Spiritual Lineage Usui, Hayashi, Takata, Furumoto, Reindl.

Based in Ludlow, UK, Kate first encountered Reiki when she received a series of treatments after the sudden death of her father in 1987. Impressed by how much it helped and, wanting to be able to offer the same benefit to others, she learned 1st and 2nd Degree Reiki in 1989 with Martha Sylvester. She began offering public treatments straight away and has been developing her professional Reiki treatment practice ever since. Seeing that those she treated often needed Reiki daily, it became her dream to be able to teach Reiki. When Martha invited her to become a Reiki master she therefore accepted with gratitude. She completed her training and was initiated as a master in 1991. She has taught Reiki classes, courses and workshops regularly over the past 30 years and including a Professional Reiki Practitioner Course which is now Reiki Council Verified.

She has had a longstanding involvement with the international Reiki community as a member of the Reiki Alliance, and in the UK as a member of The Reiki Association since it was founded in 1991. Her active community work for the Association has included: serving as a verifier for practitioners, leading the webinar team, 5 years serving on Council, representing the Association on Reiki Council, developing National Occupational Standards for UK Reiki practitioners, and a core curriculum based on them, speaking at conferences in Australia.

She currently serves on the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council Reiki Profession Specific Board and is involved in an international group bringing Regenerative Practice into the Reiki community.
