Frans  loves to travel, teaching, and writing, and he has been teaching meditation internationally for over twenty years. Frans is passionate about studying Japanese esoteric Buddhist teachings like Shingon, Tendai, and Shugendo, and then teaching them from a less strict viewpoint so that we all can benefit from these wonderful teachings. 

His main focus is helping people to remember their own true identity, because it is only through remembering this that we can start to create a world full of compassion and wisdom. 

Frans Stiene has been a major influence on global research into the system of Reiki since the early 2000s. His practical understanding of the Japanese influences on the system has allowed students around the world to connect deeply with this practice. 

Frans is a co-founder of the International House of Reiki and Shibumi International Reiki Association with Bronwen Logan. He has also co-authored with her the critically acclaimed books The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, A-Z of Reiki Pocketbook, and Your Reiki Treatment. Frans also wrote The Inner Heart of Reiki – Rediscovering Your True Self, Reiki Insights, and The Way of Reiki – The Inner Teachings of Mikao Usui books, which are available on Amazon.
