Reiki Master Teacher & Practitioner, founder of The Reiki Share Project
Jane Van De Velde, DNP, RN is a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher with twenty two years of experience. She incorporates her nursing skills and expertise into her Reiki practice with the primary goal of introducing Reiki programs into health care systems and community-based organizations. Jane is on staff at the Integrative Medicine Clinic for Endeavor Health. She offers Reiki sessions for clients; presentations about Reiki, self-care, and stress management as well as Reiki classes at Elmhurst and Edward Hospitals.
Jane has also worked extensively in the cancer community and since 2006 has offered over 2000 Reiki sessions as a volunteer at Wellness House, a nonprofit cancer support center. She gives presentations, offers Reiki classes and conducts Reiki Shares for Wellness House.
Jane founded a small non-profit organization in 2009 called The Reiki Share Project. She co-authored two articles titled “Reiki: Defining a Healing Practice for Nursing” and “Reiki, Nursing, and Healthcare”. These articles were published in Nursing Clinics of North America (December 2020).
